This division markets and supports a wide variety of cellular telephones and advanced accessories, produced by Motorola, and is one of the leaders in end-user equipment in Israel. Many of the innovations to cellular phones were brought to Israel by Motorola Cellular Phones and during the past year, the company's pioneering spirit was marked by launching the 3.5 generation models (HSDPA) and by prominence in the BlueTooth accessories market. Motorola leads with a revolutionary line of designer cell phones with the most advanced technology and have changed the mobile device into a thin, colorful, fashionable accessory of sophisticated design. The company works in cooperation with world class designers such as Dolce & Gabbana and with 'Brand Ambassadors' such as David Beckham.

» This is the business, engineering and logistics arm which provides Motorola network infrastructure solutions for both stationary and mobile operators in the local market and in central Asia. Motorola is a leading supplier in the field of key solutions for video transmission through interactive digital / analog converters; the transmission of voice via VoIP modems; the transmission of data by metal cable and wire and in the field of 2G (CDMA, GSM/GPRS/EDGE), 3G (CDMA1X, EV-DO/RevA, UMTS/HSXPA) and 4G (WiMAX) cellular technologies.
» The Networks Division's Design Center in Tel Aviv provides software and hardware solutions for the company's customers throughout the world. The center is currently focusing on the 3G CDMA 2000 product line. The center's AEMS product which serves to monitor CDMA systems performance is installed in over 300 CDMA networks worldwide.

The center designs and develops a large variety of products for Motorola's worldwide markets. It is a key contributor to many prestigious global projects: portable terminals for the United States Postal Service (USPS) and the global courier industry (Airborne, DHL, FedEx and UPS); SCADA systems for water and electricity monitoring and control, irrigation, meter reading, etc.; network fault monitoring systems; for Public Safety Motorola develops TETRA-standard communication systems, portable terminals, modems and data networks of Wi-Fi and WiMAX (broadband) standards; for the Enterprise market - unique, portable terminals and VoIP phones for the portable office; and for the iDEN market - a heavy duty radio for public infrastructures is being developed. In addition, a cellular modem is being developed for GSM, CDMA1X, TDMA, iDEN and the latest 3rd generation technologies. The center specializes in developing systems for managing communications networks and employs over 800 engineers and computer experts, including its assigned R&D team.
The Manufacturing Operation
Motorola South Israel Ltd. (located in Arad) is MIL's production facility in Israel, and constitutes an integral part of Motorola Inc. The facility produces wireless communication devices, modems and data communication products, fixed car installation cellular telephones, and command and control systems. The site applies advanced automated technologies in its manufacturing and testing processes, and maintains the highest "Six-Sigma" level of quality, whilst being managed under the LEAN management system developed abroad. The company's data terminals serve police and security forces worldwide, as well as the leading courier companies, and are considered state-of-the-art. In addition to high-quality manufacturing, the facility's strength derives from its high-standard engineering capabilities, advanced supply chain and innovative logistics systems.

Communications Systems Operation (CSO) is responsible for systems engineering, marketing, sales and project management in Israel and 35 countries in Central Africa and Southeast Europe. Customers include militaries, police forces and government agencies seeking homeland security and mission critical solutions, as well as infrastructure, transportation and construction businesses. Prominent projects in recent years include: "Mountain Rose" - a secure TETRA-based wireless mobile data system and a civilian communities defense project in Israel that were developed for the IDF.
The Service Division provides repair services, maintenance, installation, laboratory services and technical support at all levels for communications systems and a wide range of Motorola and other products. Service is provided to large numbers of CSO customers, both in Israel and abroad. The division operates through 17 service and sales centers throughout Israel, including the Motorola Center shops offering cellular devices, two-way radios, navigation devices, and a range of accessories, spare parts and original components all up to the high standards of Motorola.
Next 2 Core Solutions (N2CS) Division develops, produces and provides its customers with customized solutions complementary to Motorola's standard platforms, such as fixed car installation cellular telephones; cellular OEM modules to deliver data and voice communications machine to machine (M2M), location-based systems and an advanced range of military products. In addition the division participates in the research and development of advanced applications for M2M systems within the framework of the European Union.
» Network Services Applications (NSA) specializes in the development and implementation of billing solutions, and management of wireless services and cellular telephony. The unit's flagship product, MiBAS, is used by more than 30 telecom operators throughout the world.
» Defense Center of Excellence (DCOE) provides a range of communication solutions for the defense market.
» Radio Network Division (RND) is the world's leading interoperability solution provider. It has developed the MotoBridge system, designed for operation on radio networks on an IP infrastructure, combining telephone communication within and outside the organization. This system has been sold to and is in use in several USA states and also in Israel.
» Motorola Ventures (MV) is Motorola Inc.'s global venture capital arm. It actively invests in early-stage companies that have strategic value for Motorola in an effort to accelerate access to new technologies, new markets and new talents.
